Pedro Proença

Pedro Proença (1962, Lubango, Angola) lives and works in Lisbon and has been exhibiting regularly since 1981. In 1982, he co-founded the avant-garde Homeostatic Movement, focusing on complexity, eroticism, humor, self-liberation, and sometimes politics. His first solo exhibition was in 1984, followed by more solo shows at Galeria Fucares (1987), Galeria Frith (1989), Palazzo Ruspoli (1994), Fundação Gulbenkian (1994), Kunstverein in Frankfurt (1988), Galeria Camargo Vilaça (1988), among others.
