
Luis Rocha
Luis Rocha was born in Lisbon, Portugal, and is a contemporary visual artist. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Lisbon (2013-2017) and participated in an Erasmus program at the MKE Faculty of Fine Arts in Hungary in 2016. Luis also studied Figure Drawing at the National Society of Fine Arts in 2013. His work has been featured in both solo and group exhibitions. Notable solo exhibitions include Hey, Rube! at Cosmos in Campolide (2024), Fundos Formas at the Museum of Arts of Sintra (2023), and Rubato at Appleton Square in Lisbon (2022). His participation in group exhibitions includes shows like Pedra papel ou tesoura (Loulé, 2023), Pintura sem Fim (Lisbon, 2023), and multiple editions of the Prémio de Pintura e Escultura de Sintra D. Fernando II (Museu das Artes de Sintra, 2021-2023). Luis Rocha has also been involved in various artist residencies, including the Luzlinar Residency (2018) and Vila Nova da Barquinha Residency (2018).
