Julian Opie
Julian Opie (1958, London, UK) practice delves into the idea of representation and the means by which images are perceived and understood through reinterpreting the language of everyday life. Julian works with various cutting edge, but also with traditional techniques, to demonstrate a visual and spatial experience. His work can be found in public collections worldwide including Tate, London; British Museum, London; Victoria and Albert Museum, London; National Portrait Gallery, London; The Institut Valencià d'Art Modern; Essl Collection, Vienna; Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam; Israel Museum, Jerusalem; Takamatsu City Museum of Art, Japan; Museum of Modern Art, New York; and Institute of Contemporary Arts, Boston.
