João Murillo

João Murillo (1967, Huambo, Angola) is the winner of the North-South Prize from the Council of Europe in 1998. His work is represented in various public collections and numerous private collections in Portugal and abroad. He has also participated in several solo and group exhibitions, both in Portugal and internationally. He was one of the 25 artists selected to participate in the official exhibition commemorating the “25th anniversary of April 25th.” João Murillo is the author and illustrator of poetry and short story books, with his first work, Nuandino Tiro, published by Contemporânea Editora.
